ADATA announce the SX950 SSD’s with 6 year warranty

Taiwanese memory and storage manufacturer, ADATA Technology has just released a new line-up of solid state drives which are promising optimized performance and high durability thanks to the implementation of 3D MLC NAND Flash technology. The new XPG XS950 range claim read/write speeds of 560/530MB per second in either 240GB, 480GB or 960GB variations, with the stand out specification not coming from the speed of the drive, but instead the warranty. ADATA has given the XPG range a 6-year warranty. With other durability claims of up to 2 million hours, ADATA is clearly confident that they have managed to produce a reliable drive, although that reliability and 3D MLC NAND does come at a cost. With and MSRP of $139.99, $249.99 and $449.99 for the 240GB, 480GB and 960GB respectively, it might be out of the price range for some users.
