News has just broke from Razer, who have announced that their Blade laptop will be recieveing an update in the form of the Intel’s new Kaby Lake processor, along with an option of a UHD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. There have also been improvements to the memory which sees the 16GB of DDR4 memory gaining a boost in the frequency, which goes from 2133Mhz, to 2400MHz. Admittedly, these are only marginal gains in performance which should soften the blow for those who purchased a Blade just before the announcement. With all those improvements, it is good to note that the overall size of the chassis has not changed, meaning that you will still be getting all this in a form factor that measures less than 18mm thick, and only 1.95kg for the UHD version. Pricing starts at £1,799 for the Blade, with the UHD version yet to be given an RRP until the second quarter of this year when it is expected to launch.
